While the most recent generation puts efficiency over power, this one offers more power. The engine that powers this model is the 3.6L V6, and it comes with 310 horsepower. This engine, while more powerful, still offers some great mileage, having an EPA-rated 21 MPG combined, with a max range of 399 miles. This generation also offers both FWD and AWD drivetrains, giving you the option to get what you want.
While the newest generation has a massive screen, this one is more modest, yet it still gets the job done, and to some, this may be the perfect option. Sitting at 8 inches, this one comes with phone connectivity, as well as onboard wifi.
If you want more features, you can look for models that are equipped with navigation with real-time traffic and weather updates, as well as a wireless charging pad. This helps elevate the model, making it even more luxurious.
When the 2019 models hit the road, they remained mostly the same. The only real change was to the Premium and Avenir trims, now coming with a standard heated steering wheel. When the weather starts to get colder, this will come in handy.
For the 2020 model, Buick brought the Sport Touring package. This has a black mesh front grille, body-color grille surround, and chrome-and-graphite 20-inch wheels. For lineup-wide features, you can look for models that come with high-definition backup and 360-degree exterior cameras. These were optional during its release, but will be something good to look for when you want the most safety.
The next biggest changes came in 2022, which saw more safety features added to the lineup. These features are pedestrian braking, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, and rear parking sensor. While they were previously on the Avenir, they are now on all trims, bringing them up to the same level when it comes to safety.
The next few years carry on unchanged, given that the new generation was right around the corner. But there’s plenty to look for in this generation, making it a great option for those who want something modern, but don’t want to buy new.
